End of Year Message from our Principal
30th June, 2021

So ends a year like no other; one that presented many unprecedented challenges and disruptions. It required our whole school community to demonstrate diligence and determination as we worked together to minimise the impact of these discontinuities for our students. We were astounded by the tenacity and flexibility displayed by as our students as they navigated through these times of uncertainty. They were a continuous source of inspiration and motivation.

Additionally, it was a year that highlighted the importance of the role of our families. We were overwhelmed by their efforts. In the midst of a pandemic, they not only provided invaluable support as we adapted to the demands of the changing learning environment, they also managed to find the time to organise some phenomenal fundraising campaigns. The money raised will provide much needed resources and will enable us to implement some innovative ideas for our school for the forthcoming year.

It was with heavy hearts that we said goodbye to four of our students this year; Luke, Marho, Tammy and Ailbhe. We were fortunate to be able to celebrate this momentous milestone with an outdoor graduation. It was a beautiful and heart-warming event, perhaps made more memorable by the outside setting, as we celebrated the graduates in the warm sunshine. They will be missed immensely by us all. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours. Additionally, one of our teachers Grainne will not be returning next September. We would like to express our gratitude for her hard work and dedication this year.

Lastly, I would like to wish you all a restful and relaxing summer holidays. We look forward to welcoming all our students back, for what will no doubt be an exciting, new academic year.

Kind regards,

Laura Kelly
